Called to Walk, Not Run

This is nothing but a "God moment." 

I just watched this sermon (entitled "When You’re Too Busy for What Matters") this morning and then opened up my journal prompts from my life coaching group, Freedom Warriors. It was entitled "Opportunities are Everywhere."

I honestly didn't make the connection until I began writing what was on my heart. Here is what I wrote.

I just listened to a sermon that reminded me that we make time for those things that are truly important. God hasn't called us to rush through life at the warp speed we've been taught is appropriate today. Instead, He calls us to walk with Him. This is why He tells us that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. 

So often I miss out on opportunities because I put those things that really aren't important ahead of walking with my Lord and Savior. I need to slow down, stop multitasking, and be present in the moment. In doing so I'll see the opportunities and blessings He has surrounded me with.
